Justin Sidhu Tried Smuggling Meth Into Jail For Client: Police

EDMONTON - A defence lawyer has been charged with trying to smuggle methamphetamine past security at the Edmonton Remand Centre.

Police say a man went to the remand centre last Thursday to meet with a client.

The man had a package with him and allegedly said it contained privileged lawyer-client information.

Correctional officers noticed contraband substances after the package was delivered to the inmate.

The package was seized and approximately six grams of methamphetamine, valued at an institutional price of $6,000, was located during the search.

Justin Sidhu, who is 31, is charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance.
