Burglar Realizes Too Late That Child's Duvet Isn't Actually An Invisibility Cloak

A burglar in New Zealand wrapped himself in a child's duvet to hide himself from a surveillance camera during a house break-in.

The tiny bedspread barely covered the crook, as he bungled around the house. At one point, the hapless hoodlum even directly looked into the security camera lens.

Didn't someone tell him beforehand that the bed cover wasn't really a Harry Potter-style invisibility cloak?

Police said the thief stole valuables including cash, jewelry and other valuables from the home in the Auckland suburb of Dannemora, on New Zealand's North Island, on Mar. 20.

Footage of the raid soon went viral after Counties Manukau Police posted it to their Facebook page on Monday, in an attempt to find the man.
