Jury Finds Ex-Cop Guilty Of Child Molestation, He Drinks Poison

A retired Georgia police officer drank poison in court just seconds after being convicted on multiple charges of child molestation.

Kelless Twohearts Lory consumed an unknown noxious substance from a vitamin bottle as the jury foreman read out the guilty verdicts in a DeKalb County court on Thursday, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The 58-year-old, from Stone Mountain, was taken to DeKalb Jail following the conclusion of his trial.

Only then did deputies realize that he'd consumed poisonous liquid in court and took him to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for treatment.

His current condition is not known.

Lory was found guilty of two counts each of aggravated child molestation and child molestation, according to a DeKalb County District Attorney's Office statement.

He faces two life sentences plus 40 years, and will be sentenced at a later date.

Lory previously worked for the Chamblee Police Department and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority police.

He was retired when he repeatedly abused a 9-year-old female family member between July 2011 and July 2012. Lory was arrested in December 2014. His victim testified at his trial.
