Elderly Woman Picks The Wrong Bank To Rob

A 64-year-old woman has been charged with attempted robbery after being recognized by one of the tellers at the small-town credit union she was trying to rob.

RCMP say the senior citizen walked into Armstrong Valley First Credit Union on Monday and passed a note telling the teller to "Hand over all the money."

The teller told the woman no cash was kept at the counter, and the senior left.

As she left the bank on her bicycle, another teller recognized the senior, and called RCMP.

She was arrested a short distance away, and charged with attempted robbery.

Armstrong, in the north Okanagan, has a population of about 5,000.
