We've all seen the wild photo of a snake eating a crocodile whole by now, but this otter is something else.

These incredible images were taken in 2011 by Geoff Walsh in Florida's Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge and posted to Facebook by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service earlier this week.

According to a caption posted with the photos, the otter eventually pulled the juvenile gator up onto a bank and began chomping on it "as evidenced by crunching noises." The animals usually weight between 10 and 20 pounds and generally feed on slow-moving fishes and crustaceans, but can also consume amphibians and reptiles. The post also notes that despite their cute and fluffy appearance, otters are often the apex predator in many freshwater habitats, meaning they have no natural predators of their own. Yum.
