UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas (AP) — A Dallas-area man has taken inspiration from the fear of Ebola for the Halloween decorations at his town house.
James Faulk stacked up barrels marked "biohazard," surrounded his yard in University Park, with yellow caution tape and crossed his door and windows with white tape marked "quarantine," re-enacting a scene that's played out at three Dallas apartments. Faulk said Thursday that "it's all in good fun," though he expects some people will give him some grief.
Speaking to reporters, Faulk wore a protective suit with the label "CDC Trainee" and a face shield. He gripped a clipboard and red plastic bag marked "biohazard."
A man from West Africa died of Ebola earlier this month in Dallas and two nurses who treated him have been hospitalized after being diagnosed.
